Princess Beatrice was the only royal at who attended the Hurtwood Park Polo Masters Tournament in Cranleigh on May 11, 2008. The young royal looked relaxed in her white summer dress, complete with dark sunglasses, flat pumps, and casual necklace.

I don’t see Prince Philip anywhere in these photos, so he might be occupied elsewhere.

The romance of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly is documented in this fan-made video. Included are photos of the couple when they were young, and as they have been seen in public over the recent years. A close-up of the engagement ring is here too, along with glimpses of the British royal family.
They look so happy and good together. I wish them a wonderful wedding and a happy marriage!

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip continue their state visit to Turkey.
Here’s a video of the very solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Anitkabir during the first day. The wreath was placed at the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who founded the modern Turkish Republic.

Prince Philip gets his own time in the public view, with a documentary made by ITV.
Cameras followed the Duke of Edinburgh for 18 months, documenting his life as never before seen by the public. The Duke, which is in two parts, shows footage from the 1950s taken by the Prince himself. More recent images include a barbecue at Balmoral and the visit of the French President and First Lady last March.

Among their activities for the first day was a wreath-laying ceremony at Anitkabir, where the founder of the modern Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk has been laid to rest. The Queen took part in a review of the honor guard with Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul.
For this first day of the visit, The Queen wore a black skirt, coat and and hat accented with spring green. It seems that black is a color I don’t see often on her, but this outfit is very nicely put together.

This news comes as a surprise, considering how close Prince William is to his cousin Peter Phillips. It’s being reported that both Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton will not be at the weekend wedding of Peter and Autumn Kelly.
Some reports say that the two will be on holiday, while others just mention a “prior engagement”.
Considering that Prince William took special pains to be at Peter’s stag do, I wonder what the prior engagement is that prevents him from being at the family affair.

Zara Phillips will be joining the British equestrian team for the Olympics in Beijing later this year. Only five riders will be representing Britain at the equestrian event.
Last year, Zara rode her horse Toytown to the individual gold at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany. Lately, she’s been busy at the Badminton Horse Trials. Last week, she was at Rodbaston College near Penkridge in Wolverhampton (photo). She competed in the dressage, show-jumping and cross-country events. In between events, it seems that she got some time to enjoy a walk with her dogs.
“It is nice to be selected, but we still have a long way to go,” Phillips said. “I am lucky in that Toytown has been to championship events before, so he knows about big occasions and has been consistent, but an Olympic Games really is special.”
Zara is not the first in her family to become an Olympian. Mark Phillips, her father, won a gold medal in the 1972 Munich Olympics. Princess Anne competed in the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

They had a hike through Almannagja and on to the Prime Minister’s summer house, where they had lunch. Also on their agenda for this day were visits to a geothermal power plant, to Gullfoss Waterfoll, an old church and a town museum.
More photos: one, two, three, four
